Bros\u00e9 or Ros\u00e9? Last weekend, I threw a “Bros\u00e9 All Day” party that combined a blind ros\u00e9 tasting and college football – hence the Bros\u00e9…though, men love ros\u00e9 and don’t let them deny it!!! Although I enjoy ros\u00e9 more frequently in the summer, I really do drink the fabulous pink wine all year round. I thought it would be a fun idea to do a tasting and get people together! Adult themed parties are just too fun!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I have a few favorites and wanted to share them with others! I am a huge wine gal & took a wines course in college + my dad is a major wine “connoisseur.”\u00a0 Chris and I drink ros\u00e9 that ranges from $5 to $30 – they are all so delicious!<\/p>\n

I was curious to see if people would favor cheaper wines or would more expensive wines that sell out internationally, win?! One of my favorite wines is $5ish dollars (ranges depending on where you buy it) and I prefer it to the #1 selling ros\u00e9 in the world!<\/p>\n

One of my goals with this party was that I could show people, you don’t need to buy the most expensive bottle or the one all the celebs drink – you can, of course, save those for different occasions, but on a day to day basis, cheaper options are just as fabulous!! Ros\u00e9 Results<\/span><\/h4>\n

So, the RESULTS. The whole reason you\u2019re here.<\/p>\n

We had five wines total, all ranging from $5 to $21, which is pretty standard for daily sipping.<\/p>\n

La Vielle Ferme ($5 – $7)<\/span><\/h6>\n
Whispering Angel ($19 – $21)<\/span><\/h6>\n
Dune Gris de Gris ($9 – $10)<\/span><\/h6>\n
Cote des Roses ($12 – $15)<\/span><\/h6>\n
Miraval ($20 – $22)<\/span><\/h6>\n

I covered the wine bottles in wine bags<\/a> so people were not able to see the labels. I poured the test cups in the stove area and then served them around the kitchen island. We thought it would be a good idea to do a bracket type of competition in the spirit of college football. I definitely would pour lesser amounts or stagger the rounds because it was too much wine too quickly. If you are going to host a bracket type of tasting, I would definitely take note!<\/p>\n

    Notes: Whispering Angel is the #1 seller internationally! I was shocked it placed almost last. Also, I cannot believe Cote des Roses received the last place. It was not as cold as the others so that is why I think it performed poorly…it is a wonderful\u00a0ros\u00e9!! All of the options are great and you simply cannot go wrong with any of them. Miraval has always been my favorite and it is an easy drinking ros\u00e9…it is like and refreshing (Brad + Angie’s wine).<\/p>\n

    Once the tasting portion of the day was complete, we transitioned to the football games and I heated up Buffalo chicken dip and brought out more food! When you host your\u00a0own wine tasting, definitely cook lots of food! It helps to cleanse the palette and it brings out different notes in the wine. Plus, food is just delicious and guests should never go hungry at an event #hospitalitymajor !!<\/p>\n
