I couldn\u2019t believe how many of you reached out to say that it\u2019s one of your favorite resorts or that you&#8217;re getting married there! The resort encompasses an extensive nature preserve, a riverfront marina and a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. There are 8 restaurants, a spa, golf course, boutique, fitness center, and so much more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could stay for a week and still have so many activities left to try! The Montage features an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/experiences\/recreation\/golf\/\">18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course<\/a>. The greens run throughout the May River Forest and several holes on the banks of the river. It was the most beautiful course I have ever seen! My husband, Chris, is obsessed with golf and believes it is the hardest, yet most fun, course he&#8217;s ever played. We stayed in the main building, during our last visit, but we booked a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"room overlooking the lagoon (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/accommodations\/rooms\/https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/accommodations\/rooms\/\" target=\"_blank\">room overlooking the lagoon<\/a> this time around. We had our own little deck overlooking the water and we enjoyed the most peaceful mornings savoring our coffees and fun evenings sipping red wine. The rooms are absolutely stunning and I slept like a queen in the plushiest bed. Don&#8217;t even get me started on the bathroom and its gigantic bathtub &#8211; heavenly! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The property has a collection of spacious cottages, guestrooms, suites, and larger village homes.  You can learn all about the different accommodations &#8211; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/accommodations\/all\/\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">DINING:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\" data-imagelightbox=\"g\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thedcdarlings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/design-darling-montage-palmetto-bluff-trip-500x750-1.jpg?resize=450%2C465\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6885\" width=\"450\" height=\"465\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Let me tell you&#8230;if you are a foodie, the Montage is a must visit!! We indulged and it was <strong>magnificient<\/strong>. Lowcountry-inspired fare is for me! There are so many options for dining and you can learn more about them &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/dining\/\">HERE<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We frequented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/dining\/octagon\/\">Octagon<\/a> a few times during our stay, I just coudn&#8217;t get enough of the picturesque setting overlooking the lagoon. The menu features a modern take on classic Carolina cuisine. Everything we ordered was out of this world and why yes, I did order a second round of fried green tomatoes right after finishing the first&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PS: for breakfast at Octagon, you must order the Bourbon French Toast. Thank me later \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On our last night, we had dinner at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montagehotels.com\/palmettobluff\/dining\/coles\/\">Cole\u2019s<\/a>, one of the restaurants on the property. I wanted classic southern food and we got it! We started with fried pickles (a must try!!), followed by the <em>famous<\/em> fried chicken&#8230; it was the BEST fried chicken I&#8217;ve EVER had. We shared a platter of pulled pork and brisket (your girl loves to eat lol) and again, it was the best barbeque I&#8217;ve ever had!!! Actually just writing this is making me hungry&#8230;need to go back to the the Montage to eat!!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\">THE MAGIC OF PALMETTO BLUFF:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\" data-imagelightbox=\"g\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thedcdarlings.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Screen-Shot-2020-12-03-at-2.48.36-PM.png?resize=458%2C470\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6861\" width=\"458\" height=\"470\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I will stop gushing now but it is a special property. You feel as if you&#8217;re living in an enchanted forest &#8211; there really are no words to describe it. You just cannot fully get a feel for it through photos alone &#8211; you need to experience it! You need to to see the draping Spanish Moss cascading down from the oaks. You need to see the dolphins jumping on the May River and taste the yummy s\u2019mores that are roasted nightly at the River House. You need to walk across the bridge, to the main building, and listen to the birds chirping (PS: it&#8217;s a nature conservation). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris and I love to travel and I can tell you, Palmetto Bluff is <em>special<\/em>.
